Dentist and Decorations

Today, I finally went to the dentist and got my teeth cleaned. There are a bunch of medical things that need to be done, so I'm glad that I'm starting to finally make progress on them. I still haven't really made any progress on the insurance front, as Joel discovered that the insurance we were looking at did less than we wanted. However, at this point, it looks like none of the health problems that I'm concerned about would be covered by insurance anyway, as they are considered pre-existing conditions. * shrug * I'll keep working on it.

In other news, I've started on the decorations for the computer hutch. I made an origami star today and started making scales, which will ultimately be a panel of dragon scales against the back of one of the bookshelves. I also plan on some celestial-themed pieces, which I'll glue to the hutch, then cover with texture paste, primer, and ultimately make into something like reliefs. I've seen it done to very nice effect in other cardboard projects. Hopefully, I can get that done in the next day or two. The really exciting thing coming up, though, is that tomorrow we'll go to the fabric store. Yay!!! I have so many projects that need fabric. I can't wait to be able to make progress on them. I'm full of ideas for cool, festive things I can do to make the place look even cooler. First, though, I need supplies. I am so excited!
