Some Fabric

Well, fabric shopping was okay. The good news is that we got some fantastic remnants of lovely wine red fabric, which will be used for covers for the cushions on our benches. We also got a nice piece of dark blue fabric (that feels more or less like cotton), which we'll use for a tablecloth on the table with the benches. We also got some kitchen towels (in the "by the kilogram" section of the store), some felt for a couple of the cardboard projects, and some spandex for compression socks. While it isn't perfect, this is pretty great. The felt was the one thing that I needed immediately, since I need some for the computer hutch. We'll definitely need to hit another fabric store in the near future, but this is okay for now.

Tomorrow, I'm going to the gaming night. Joel isn't sure if he wants to go, but I _really_ need to get out and socialize. It isn't like there is some kind of contest for who can get friends more quickly or something. It is just that if I'm going to settle in here, I need to know some people.

In other news, I'm making good progress on the hutch. I am working on making dragon scales for the back part of one of the open shelves. There are a lot of pieces of paper to fold, but I think that now that I've started gluing them down, it should go fairly quickly. I hope.
