Dentist and Books
Aug. 23rd, 2022 10:18 pmToday, we went to the dentist. They just did all the intake stuff, took x-rays, and came up with treatment plans. Still, it was very nice to have gotten that all done. (As an aside, I have had very few new cavities since I stopped eating grains and other high potency carbs. I've still had teeth problems, but they are just old problems getting worse.)
Today, I put shelves in one of the other sections of the cardboard computer hutch, did a bit of prep work for some sewing, plus a bunch of the usual other things. I may have also worked on writing a little, but I'm not really sure. I did spend some time reading "Still Life With Crows" by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, which is quite good. I finished up a Conan book recently and tried a new and well-regarded science fiction book, but it was just too pleased with itself for me. I'm not really looking for a book that will challenge me with its edgy style. I just want to read a story. Anyway, there are plenty of other books out there.
