A very full day

Today was a very full day. Did I mention yesterday that the washing machine that came with the place doesn't work? And that the stove that the landlord was going to buy was not purchased? Since we cannot get the gas turned on until we have the stove installed and since the gas company will charge us if we aren't all ready when they show up, getting the stove installed is pretty important. So, this morning - before the telecom guy was scheduled to come and turn on our internet - we headed down to the appliance store. The store was very well-reviewed, and for good reason, it turns out. The lady who helped us spoke English and was super friendly. We managed to purchase a stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a microwave, which was exactly what we wanted. They were delivered and installed this evening. Yay! However, there was a little bit of leakage from the washing machine, so we'll have to pull it out and check to see if anything needs to be tightened. Still, it is so great to be able to wash our clothing.

Tomorrow, we're going to hit a flea market to see if we can find useful stuff, like silverware, plates, or a towel rack.

Oh, and I've been working on bank stuff. I can't wait until it is done.
