Good and Bad

Both of our apartment offers (the two we saw on April 2) were accepted. We went with the first one that got back to us, which made us a bit sad when we turned down the second offer, but that's fine. We had to do it. If we knew we would be able to stay, I would be super happy about this. Since this is just one of the steps in preparing to apply for the visas, I'm happy that I can check it off the list and that we don't need to keep spending money on short-term housing. However, it doesn't actually mean anything until we have the visas. Unfortunately, there was some family drama today, which was incredibly upsetting for me. The actual drama was minor, but it poked an incredibly sore spot in my life. This is going to make the next month or three even more stressful for us, although I expect that in the end it will all be fine. I want so desperately to be done with this.
