I just got my last blood test back. The main thing I was trying to test was glutamine/glutamate, and the test shows that glutamic acid, which is really closely related, is indeed pretty low. I'll need to compare when the test was done to when I started cutting back on protein, but I'm guessing that cutting back on meat probably is a contributing factor to being unable to walk. So, I'm going to cut back on dairy and add more meat back in. I'm also going to try out lentils and soy when I get back from this trip to the US. On top of that, I will still need to see an eye doctor who knows about neurological problems.

I would still love to find a doctor who can help me. I have been to a neurologist before, with no real luck (he did an MRI, said I looked fine, and showed me the door). I have been to a neuropsychologist, who was an ass, made a lot of assumptions without even asking me basic things like "can you see the pieces that you are having trouble putting into the holes?", and showed me the door. The endocrinologist I saw did diagnose my diabetes but waved off my concerns about cortisol. She also had zero interest in finding out what was going on with my body. The second endocrinologist was more blunt, which I preferred, but also basically wasn't able/interested in figuring out what is going on with my body. Maybe after the conference, I'll try again.
