Academic Diabetes

lillilahOne of my friends referred to my "I only have diabetes when I'm in school" as "academic diabetes", which I find quite funny. Interestingly enough, I saw this article today, which seems to indicate that I'm not alone in having blood sugar problems because of mentally draining tasks. Sadly, the people who did the study didn't figure out why this problem exists. It is nice to know that I'm not alone in this, but it would be more useful to know why. My brain is repeating a line from a movie right now about how it isn't enough to understand the problem, you need to find a cure, but sadly, my brain only remembers half of it. Hmmm.... It is from the movie "2010". The doctor is talking to SAL about HAL in that kind, understanding voice he uses to talk to the AIs. Ah, ha! Here it is!
