I use a kneeling chair, so there is a lot of room under my desk. I had wanted to put some shelves under there, but I couldn't seem to find any the right size. Of course, that was because I wasn't using the correct search string. Narrow shelves are not shelves. They are "shoe shelves". I don't need them for shelves, though. I ordered them from Amazon and got some crappy ones that weren't all that great, but still they did what needed to be done, which was hold up my electronics. I attached all the cables to the back of the shelves and put the networked storage, the power strip thing (that isn't a strip), and the backup battery for the networked storage up there, which left _nothing_ on the floor. It is great, as there was a pile of dead bugs and gravel from the wall falling apart. I'm glad to be able to vacuum there. I also ordered some clear plastic boxes to hold all the electronics that are currently sitting upstairs in a box under another box inside a box. I look forward to having all the computer stuff (and the emergency stuff for when the power goes out) all in one spot, so that if I need a USB cable or need to charge the battery on the emergency lamp, it is right at hand. Actually, now that I think of it, I'm going to buy a little USB charging strip that I can attach to each of the devices that I need to charge monthly (the backup powerbank, radio, lanterns, and maybe other stuff) and then just plug it in once a month. That is a ton less work than having to plug each in individually.

Also 💯 on having a radio. Does Portugal have DAB yet? Resin I ask is to ensure your future proof.
