Virtual Colonoscopy
Sep. 2nd, 2025 05:34 pmFor the virtual colonoscopy, you do the fasting beforehand that you do for the regular colonoscopy. Then, you go in to the testing center, they stick a tube in your butt and pump air into you, and then do the CAT scan. It doesn't take very long, but you end up with at least two hours of gas pains. They gave me some kind of shot to help with it, and it was still very uncomfortable. However, all the pain is short term, as opposed to lasting a long time because of the anaesthesia. Also, since they don't poke around inside of you, there is no chance that they will poke a bit too much. Hopefully, it will all be just fine, and the results of eating again won't be too bad.
