The contractor, it turns out, didn't order enough of the accent tiles for the bathroom, so now we have to wait a week for them to be delivered. Okay. At least, they say that we can shower even though the tile isn't done. Hopefully, they are right. Anyway, you may remember that they had gotten the wrong tiles too. That mistake was a joint effort. They aren't planning on taking the tiles that we don't want back. While it would be nice to have that ~100€ back, we've decided that we can use that tile. There are some ledges in the house where we really could use some tile, and it is just the right size. The other thing we are planning on doing is using it to make stepping stones for the garden. The tiles are long rectangles, so we would cut them to be squares and then set them in forms and put in concrete on top. I've seen it a billion times in garden magazines, so hopefully, it would work. Also, it is apparently possible to get paint that will work on matte tile, so I can spruce them up, since they are only white and gray now. Oh, maybe they could be rainbow colored! I'll see what Joel thinks. Anyway, there are a lot of fun options that would allow us to use that tile for something we need anyway.
