After so much self-inflicted stress and rushing, I'm starting to wind down a little. I still have a ridiculous number of things to do next week, but the podcast is up, I sent out some emails that needed to go out, and I found time for the next exercise in this guided meditation "course" that I'm doing. Also, on Sunday, I spent a lot of the day reading a silly romance novel, and today, both Joel and I woke up about 2 hours later than usual. (He hasn't been sleeping well, so he needed it.) So, anyway, maybe once I get a bit more done from the pile of one-off tasks that need to be done, I'll get to start on sewing. I have one pair of winter pants that I like, so I will probably focus on making a couple new pairs first.

Oh, unrelated to all that, I tried eating nettles again in my breakfast soup, in part because I've eaten down most of the mallow in the yard and in part because I want to get rid of the nettles and eating them is a great way to do that. I didn't cough like last time, although I was a bit itchy. I think I'll try tomorrow and see what happens. I also need to see if I can make some progress on my chicory and cinnamon herbal tea/infusion. I haven't gotten the chicory right yet. The pieces that I got are too big, so I need to crush them with a mortar and pestle. The cinnamon in the thin, papery kind, so it isn't too hard to break up. Anyway, I might need to get a thermometer to test the water. I think it might not be hot enough.
