Doors and Windows!

lillilahOkay, the installation of the doors and windows isn't completely done, but I am trying to do every single thing I possibly can while sitting in the garden, as the house is noisy, dusty, and smelly (since they are caulking). Anyway, there has been a lot of confusion ("WTF are they doing installing things in that way? Why haven't they caulked this part of the door yet?), but at this point everything looks pretty good. I'm going to need to vacuum a lot (even after they vacuum), because pretty much every surface is gritty now. That includes my computer, so I want to vacuum it before I turn it back on.
The good news is that not only does everything look like it should, but the windows are seriously thick. Like 1-1.5 inches thick. They are two layers of glass with xenon in the middle, I think. It bodes well for the winter. The downstairs looks so much nicer with all that light, too! I am soooo happy! I'm going to wait until tomorrow to post photos.
Oh, also, today, we ate the first tangerine of the year off the tree. It was delicious!
