Well, I talked to the neurologist, and my EEG does look better. But there are some problem areas. He says that sometimes these tough areas need a bit more work than just with neurofeedback, so he is recommending transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), which would mean putting some electrodes on my head and running a _low_ voltage current through my brain. This is _not_ electroshock therapy (although apparently that is still done and sometimes helps). It has a lot of science behind it that says it works. Joel also says he has heard of people way more screwed up than I am who have found tDCS very helpful.

My plan is to contact the worker's comp people tomorrow to ask what the status of my reimbursements is. I'll also contact my psychologist and let her know about the recommendation. When I get the report from the neurologist, which should be coming soon, I'll go back to the worker's comp people and ask for authorization.

I don't _think_ I'm especially freaked out about the idea of electrodes and that kind of thing. I am unhappy about contact the worker's comp people, as always. And a bit anxious about the video appointment with a doctor next week to get vaccinations sorted out, perhaps because it is different than how I normally see a doctor. So, even though it is more convenient and we saw the doctor this way before, I'm still anxious. But electrodes seem fine. :P
