Well, the meeting with the endocrinologist didn't go well. I put a lot of time into making sure I chose someone who had experience, etc, but even though it said on her profile that she spoke English, she really didn't. Based on my blood tests, she says that I don't have diabetes. She said I do need to lose some weight (which I was pretty sure I did), but that was it. I couldn't ask any questions, because she really didn't understand me. I firmly believe that no diagnosis is better than an incorrect diagnosis, and it had seemed for a while like the diabetes diagnosis meant "high blood sugar" not "unstable blood sugar" or "intolerance to sugar". I'm trying very hard to not fuss about this setback. I have ideas about where to go from here, but for the moment, I need to focus on getting through tomorrow, since I have both the dentist and Portuguese class. I also absolutely have to call the company that sells the solar hot water heaters. This morning, I contact the people who administer my workers' comp in hopes that they will be willing to help pay for the neurofeedback, since that is a bit expensive.
