Meh, plus dyeing and other stuff
Aug. 4th, 2022 09:32 pmJoel and I are both feeling pretty meh. It isn't that there is something wrong. We just aren't feeling very happy. I think this is in part the comedown from all the trauma and in part adjusting to all the new things (and lack of old things). We'll get through it. Tomorrow, we are planning on going for a walk to the store, which is kind of far away, so that will be a little adventure.
In other news, I redyed part of the second duvet cover and the first bottom sheet. Hopefully, they will now be peach enough. If this works, I will use the same method (dyeing one color, leaving it overnight, washing it out, and then dunking the whole thing in a bucket of the other color) on the next batch of sheets. Once I get done, I'll write up what I did, so I can reproduce it later.
I am so not loving a bunch of the video games I'm playing right now. I'm trying to slog through them to get to the next good part, but it is slow. Thank goodness for Stardew Valley. It is consistently good. If I end up running out of patience for these games, I'll replay the second Subnautica. It was great.
I was a bit fuss about how our tavern is shaping up, since it still is in the beginning stages and not so great. However, after some thought, I remembered what kind of things I was going for and how I would get there, which helped. I've also come up with some ideas for how to make a cabinet-thing for behind my monitor. I still think that cardboard will work, but I'll likely combine that with some wood for stability. I think. Anyway, I think planning is the next step.
