A Brief Post On The Subject of Evacuations

I am still working on the database after a few unproductive days due to computer problems. I have nothing to report at the moment on that front. However, I did want to pass along this piece of information: it is a notice for what to do if you are trapped in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. Now, obviously, I'm not there. However, this gives people who wonder about what kind of services the US government offers to people who are trapped in dangerous situations a little bit of an answer. (In case the link breaks at some point, the US embassy in Ethiopia asks for information on US citizens in the affected area. Also, they say, "Please note that we cannot guarantee that a relocation will actually take place, nor when that may happen. However, U.S. citizens who wish to leave Mekele should approach any UN facility as soon as possible to inquire about the possibility of joining departing UN convoys, or to request information about safe routes out of Tigray.")
