Moving forward
May. 30th, 2023 10:22 pmToday, we went to the hospital and started the process to get our accounts set up in their system so that we can use their website/app. When that is working, I should be able to make appointments online, which I would really like to be able to do. As I may have already said, I realized that the hospital is right next to the train station, so I could take the train in from the new house and go right to the hospital for any appointments. This seems much better to me than waiting until we move so that we can see a doctor way out in the boonies. The chances of the doctor speaking English are much higher at this hospital (the website lists which doctors speak which languages). So, the only thing that was holding me back from seeing doctors again like a normal, health-conscious person was the lack of access to the appointment-making part of the website. Did I say that Joel's emergency room visit cost us 87€ (which is a bit more than $90)? Cost also doesn't seem like it will be an issue. Getting me to go without being totally overwhelmed by anxiety beforehand will probably be the biggest problem. Still, this is super important, so I'm glad that I've finally gotten the ball rolling.
