Report and RPGs

We got the report on the house! It has more or less the issues that we thought it did. We didn't get an estimate for repairs yet. We have started moving forward with putting in a bid.

We played in a 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons intro game. This is our second session. It was a lot of fun. Joel and I are the only ones who have any idea what we are doing, so we have to help everyone, including the DM. :)

Yay!

Anything significant, or just “work”

It’s a good thing the process isn’t sped up, like here. Most offers are within a week, with no conditions. The place you’re looking at would have been sold already.

And don’t get me started about bidding wars…

Some of the beams in the roof need to be replaced or repaired, as does some of the other wood in the ceiling. Also, it needs insulation, new windows, and a new water heater. There are a couple of cracks in the walls that need work. We knew all that. It has rising damp/problems with moisture in the walls. We didn't know about that, but it is apparently a problem everywhere in Portugal. * shrug * It may need some electrical and plumbing work, but maybe not. We'll see. So, nothing so huge that we will die.

Well, there may well be someone bidding on it right now. We have no idea. The market is in the process of crashing here, apparently. However, that may or may not affect the place we are looking at. Places do sell super quick here sometimes. However, is it like in the NYC suburbs? No.
