Lots of walking. Not much news.

lillilahI spent about an hour and a half on the treadmill today. I walked at about 3.6km/h the whole time, which is obviously a huge improvement over struggling to walk at 2km/h for 10 minutes. I think that yesterday I made it up to 3.8. There isn't much else new. I'm still working on all the things I've been working on. I'm a bit grumpy or fussy, probably because I did a lot and my blood sugar was low because of it.
We are still thinking about houses. I plan on making a spreadsheet using my beloved How to Choose a Goddess method for the houses. I can see that the current house that we are looking at isn't perfect and might turn out to be even less perfect when/if we have a lawyer take a look at the documents related to it. However, the house is reasonably priced, may be acceptable to live in, and is in an incredibly attractive area. Obviously, we aren't jumping into anything, since we haven't even gone to see the house or talked to a lawyer about it. The reason that we would need a lawyer is that there are, just like in the US, potentially all kinds of problems related to the property, property lines, who actually owns what, plus all the possible zoning problems. I understand that some of the ways that things work here are different from the US, but honestly, a lot sounds like what I read about when I was thinking of buying land to live like a hippie in the middle of nowhere. I'm guessing that the problems are just more common here. So, anyway, I'm going to make up a spreadsheet to help us remember all of our desires when it comes to buying a house, so that we can make good decisions. (However, just like the Goddess spreadsheet article says, if you already have made a decision, you don't need the spreadsheet. If it would be legal for us to live there and we decide that we love it too much to live anywhere else, then obviously we will try to buy it.)
