A Good Day

Today was pretty nice. There were some shocking revelations on the Portuguese telenovella that I am watching, and I was able to tell what general thing they were talking about when I listened to the news (Credit Swiss, Ukraine, Trump, and new electric ferries in Lisbon (I just had to use a translator for the word "ferry", as I could only remember it in Russian)). I made it up to 3.5 km/h on the treadmill while watching, so I'm definitely getting closer to my goal. Joel is at a big music event for the equinox.

I am making quick progress on my hoodie, since I took all the complicated parts out of it. Also, I used FocusMate (the coworking website, where you and another person have your cameras on while you work) again. This time, I worked on transcribing the action from the fight with the dire weasel that Joel and I did for our Dungeons and Dragons story. It worked well, although once again, the person I was coworking with didn't make it to the wrap up discussion at the end of the session. This time, the lady messaged me that she had to leave early, though, so that was something. I'll keep doing it when Joel isn't around. Oh, and since I had a few minutes to kill before the FocusMate session, I was able to do some other things that I would have put off. So, that was excellent.

Just before we left for the US in February, I promised a friend I would read her novel, but I proceeded to completely forget. I've started in on it now. I always stress when I read a friend's story or listen to a friend's music, since I want to like it. Happily, I love what I've read of her novel. It is romance, and the main character is so full of beans. It is so fun!
