Not the best start
Nov. 13th, 2022 10:24 pmI woke up dizzy and definitely didn't feel up to trying to go on a walk. Most of the day, I sat around and rested. I did manage to at least dig out the patterns for some of the things I want to sew and filled in the artwork for the computer hutch on the plan I drew for it a while back. I was concerned about drawing the sphinxes from The Neverending Story, but the one I drew (which took long enough that I wasn't interested in drawing the other one just for the sake of the sketch) turned out pretty well. So, that was a relief. I realized that I definitely want some kind of moulding or border on the drawers and doors to keep them from looking completely boring. I'll still need to get paper glued to the inside corners and over all the exposed edges. However, after that I'll cut cardboard or maybe some cereal boxes to make borders. Joel thinks that it is okay for me to use split peas to make little half spheres on the corners of the borders. I think I may have a box of tacks, which I could also use. I don't know if I have much else that would work for decorative texture. I'll look around the house and see. I find it really amusing how much this is like being in kindergarten again. If I had some really cool looking macaroni.... Anyway, I have spent too much time now looking on eBay for molds to make cool things for the borders out of plaster. The end of the story is that I finally started getting my period, so we know more or less why I was so dizzy. Now, it is definitely time for bed.
