An okay day
Nov. 6th, 2022 10:49 pmAs (the new) usual, I went on my morning walk and sat in the sun by the river. I didn't get a ton else done (besides the normal eating), although I did manage to fix some webpages that were broken and get some paperwork done. I still miss my old routine and my beloved dark corner of happiness, but I'll probably get over that once I figure out a new routine. I'm guessing also that not enjoying the book I'm reading (I'm trying to finish a romance that just isn't doing it for me) isn't helping either. And, I still haven't gotten my period. Is it going to show up late or not at all? Just like someone who doesn't call when they are going to be late, I find this annoying. Anyway, I'll survive.
In other news, I think I'm going to increase my carbs a little. I've been totally starving for the past few days, so instead of gorging myself on cheese and peanuts, I'll increase the amount of lentils I make next time I cook them (in a couple days). They are delicious anyway, so I won't be sad to eat more. I'm hoping that a bit more carbs and calories will convince my body to work a little better.
Just so that it is clear in my head, I will write this out. I'm planning on finishing up the button holes on the bench cushion covers and then moving on to sewing some new clothing. I would like two pairs of compression socks, another bralette, one pair of underwear, a shirt, and a hoodie. Then, I can get back to work on the household sewing without feeling like I'm going around in tatters. On the painting front, I'm going to focus on getting the drawers and cabinet doors for the hutch made. Once I have glued the drawers and finished the edges of the doors, I'll finish the last two trees on the closet box. After that, I'll alternate between painting the hutch and, while it dries and cures, working on all the other little bits that I will need to do to finish it. I won't start working on another side to the closet box or any other project until I finish the hutch. It is fine that it takes a long time, but I'm not going to be able to do anything with the closet box for quite a while, since it still has three unpainted sides, and I could really use that hutch right now. So, anyway, that's my plan. We'll see how it goes.
