All the things

Today is mostly an organizing day. It looks like it is time to harvest the olives on the trees in the yard, so I'll try that on Friday. Then, I need to work on processing them. I'm going to do one method, which is pretty quick, and the traditional method, which takes a lot more time. We'll see how that goes.

It is also time to decant this batch of vinegar. I'll start the next batch tomorrow. It is going to be a very random collection of flavors going into the next batch, including an apple core, a plum pit with some flesh on it, and the seeds and goop from a melon. That stuff only stays in the jar for about a week, then it is just the liquid plus the mother, fermenting away. I'm going to throw in a piece of ginger after everything comes out and leave that in for the rest of the time. I may also put in some bay leaves or something else herbal. Lemon balm? Not sure.

I was going to install a copy of a Dungeons and Dragons rules website, to make sure that we would have easy access to it (since the one we were using disappeared), but it is such a pain in the butt that it isn't worth it. If we really want it, we'll get a tiny computer that we can dedicate to it. Then, it is super easy. Like two steps.

Still no resolution with trying to get the raised bed supplies delivered to our house. You would not believe how terse businesspeople are when asked questions about getting services from them.
"Hi, I want to give you money for this thing!"
"We don't do that."
"Is there any way that we can get this thing from you?"
"Only under certain circumstances."
"What are those circumstances?"
"When we do this thing, it is only under conditions X, Y, and Z."
"Does that mean that if we meet those conditions you will do this for us?"

I'm sure that there is some way in which this cagey-ness makes sense, but it is frustrating. However, we'll eventually get there.
