Paperwork and Book
Aug. 14th, 2025 05:43 pmI finished up the immigration paperwork! Or at least, I finished getting the initial paperwork done. I've made a list of what papers need to be changed, but that will only take a few minutes. We're mainly waiting to see if our 2024 Portuguese taxes will be finished in time.
I finished that little book I was making for a friend. Or at least, I got it all glued together. Now, it is drying. Just while I was getting it put together, some of the color got rubbed off the cover (made of scrapbook paper I got on Amazon). So, when it is dry, I'm going to put a layer of acrylic varnish on it and see if that helps at all.
If I haven't recommended it, Personal History by Katharine Graham is great. It is very long but fast-moving. She was the publisher of the Washington Post during Watergate (and a lot more).
Also, I bought a bunch of herbs! And I think that the reason one of the succulents died was that it wasn't getting enough sun, so I moved those planters out into the sun. Hopefully that will help.
