Book Recommendations

There are amazing books out there. We all have read books that spoke to us, took us to someplace different or made us see things in a different way. However, finding the books can be a challenge. I am training Claude.ai to give me book recommendations, and while it isn't always spot on, it does a decent job. Joel, on the other hand, does an amazing job. Of course, we've been married for 20 years, but it is still kind of amazing how fantastic his recommendations are. I just finished reading "The Player of Games" by Iain M. Banks. Unlike many books that I like, the main character is just part of the story. The setting, the side characters, and even the things happening in the background behind the plot are as much important parts of the story. Joel and I think that Dune has that, but I can't really think of anything with such intense a feeling of depth. So, anyway, I'm once again very satisfied with this book.

(And for those following along at home, we think that the electrician will come tomorrow to fix the water heater. I hope. While I only find the heating of water slightly stressful and annoying, my skin is starting to break out. I need to get back to my normal routine.)
