Geez, everything has been so busy here that I've fallen behind in posting. Right now, I'm waiting for a delivery, so I just have to stand here, which gives me time to type.
On Monday, I had my first Portuguese class. That was awesome! The teacher is a nice, young-ish guy, and we had fun talking. Monday night, a friend from when I was little visited. It was so much fun to see her. In fact, it was so fun that we planned to meet up on Tuesday evening at Joel's jam session. That was super fun too, although it was another late night. Yesterday, we played D&D with other friends, which was another good time. However, at this point, I was falling behind on a lot of things.
The house is going well. They have finished everything on the roof except the tiles (which was the plan). They disassembled the upstairs floor a few days ago in preparation for the exterminator (I finally remembered the word! I've been calling that poor man the "bug guy".), who will come today. However, when disassembling the upstairs floor, they quickly discovered that the bottom layer was rotten/eaten by bugs. So, that will need to be replaced too, which is fine with us. I am positive that the contractor will do a better job than whoever installed it to begin with. Of course, it will cost more too.
That's about it for now. Our food has been delivered, and it is time for me to eat quickly before today's Portuguese lesson.
