Helpful Ideas and Medical Tests
Jul. 2nd, 2023 11:27 pmAll is well here. We're both kind of tired. Yesterday was super nice. I really enjoy spending time with friends.
I am back to working on the interactive story about Perseus, the Greek hero. The problem was that I just couldn't get a feel for Perseus. We know what he does, but that didn't really give me a handle on who he was. However, the writers group talked me through what kind of person he would have been, which was incredibly helpful. For example, he had a really traumatic childhood. Also, once he had Medusa's head, he used it to turn all kinds of people to stone, which as another friend mentioned is more or less killing them. He did it when he didn't really have to. This makes him seem like he wasn't really all that "good" or "lawful". On the other hand, he definitely isn't evil. I think he is someplace between true neutral and chaotic neutral, which is a bit more unpredictable. In fact, sometimes, chaotic neutral is just characterized as super unpredictable. I don't know if I would go that far. It is interesting, though, that just having this information is enough to get me to the point where I can come up with a personality, an appearance, and all kinds of other stuff. (BTW, I am using this statue (NSFW) as my canonical reference, although I'm pretty sure he would have actually had a beard.)
In other news, I'm off to an MRI tomorrow. I have to remember to stop eating 2 hours before and to take out my piercings. I think I will. That is the last test this week, which I am super happy about. Next week, though, will be insane. So many appointments and tests. However, it will be great when it is done.
