Really tired
Jun. 22nd, 2023 10:17 pmI was so wiped out today. However, everything went fine with the new gynecologist. There was a female nurse who stayed in the room while he did the exam part, so there was no reason to worry (not that I actually worried, but I was a little anxious, which is usual). The nice guy (Tiago) who put all my heart testing gear on and who did the stress test (and who had the most lovely eyelashes) had said that there were no lights on the little box attached to the heart testing gear. However, there was a little red light that blinked! So, of course, I was a little anxious about that too. When I gave him the gear back, he was like, "Oh, that's totally normal." So, yeah, lots of little anxieties for nothing.
I'm trying to keep some perspective about how anxious I should be by rating how serious I think the problem is. My psychologist often reminds me that people feel anxious about lots of the things that bother me, so I don't want to try and force myself to not be anxious when it is a normal reaction. Instead, I just want to tone down my anxiety, so that I am able to go to the post office when I need to. I did a pretty good job dealing with these two days of little anxieties and lots of appointments. By the evening, though, I was totally wiped out. I ate an apple and an apricot and did start feeling less like a zombie.
Today, we sent the money for the deposit to the sellers. Yay! The next step with the house is for us to collect all the money to pay for it. I am pretty tired, so we'll work on that tomorrow. We also have a food delivery coming tomorrow. Plus, I would really like to go into town to pick up some acrylic retarder (and some more of the colors that I use often).
Speaking of painting, I have gotten the body of one of the sphinxes done. Her head and wings need a lot of work. Also, the brightest highlights are drying more very light peach than very light yellow, so I'm going to have to fix that. The other sphinx needs a lot of work too. I might need to see if I can find another image of her, as there is a watermark over part of her body in the image I am using, and it makes it hard to figure out exactly what her legs should look like. Also, her head may be a tad too big. I think that perhaps just a tiny alteration may be enough. I am pleased that progress is being made on those.
That's about it here. Oh, you will be happy to hear that the sellers of our new place are very aware that the turtles are an invasive species and plan to make sure that they are taken care of appropriately. Thank goodness! I had been a little anxious about that too.
