Today was pretty good. I'm not super together or anything. However, I feel like I got a bit more done. I went on my walk like usual. I finished three drawers for the hutch, which I'm really happy about. Also, I have this thing I do where I try to finish a chapter in each of my stories before moving on to any new chapters. I had gotten down to only our D&D story that still needed to have a chapter finished but was only making slow progress. Well, that slow progress was enough, as I was able to buckle down and write the last couple of paragraphs that needed to be written to get that chapter done. Yay! Since programming is much easier than writing, I also spent a little bit of time working on a program to generate a tarot-like reading (it is called "harrow" and is from the Pathfinder roleplaying game) that will be used in the next chapter. Of course, I didn't get the whole thing done. However, I was able to get all the names of the cards and much of the information about them into a form that I can use with a program, and then wrote a little script to "shuffle" the cards and choose nine. That part works just fine. So, I'll keep working on it. I find the system for reading the cards completely unintuitive, but I should be able to follow the instructions for a reading enough to get the program to interpret them. I think. I also managed to cut out two pairs of underwear. I had planned on making socks next, but the slick material was going to be too much for me to deal with today.
