Part way through the day, a friend in Russia asked me to look at his resume. My mind then went completely into overdrive with trying to help. So, I feel kind of funky.
Also, it turns out that we don't have enough fabric for all the cushion covers, so Joel has volunteered to get some more.
In other news, I got one of the shipments from Amazon today, which included a new microphone. I hoped that it would fix the problem of me not being able to record on this computer. Nope! I still got an error, even with the mic being enabled, etc. However, that meant that I knew that the problem wasn't the mic. At that point, I was able to track down the problem, which was stupid. Windows 10 has a privacy setting that means that even if the microphone is totally set to go, it can still not be accessible to programs. Once I flipped the "make this accessible to programs" button, everything worked fine. Now, I have two mics, but it will give me an opportunity to see which one is better. Our place is still really echo-y, but at least I can use my computer now to record.
I applied the varnish to the starscape on the inside of the closet box. It looks pretty good. I'd like to pick up some gloss varnish at some point, since what I have is matte. It is totally okay for inside a box, but there are other things I would like to look shiny. Speaking of the closet box, I think I'm going to give the tree painting another day to dry. In the mean time, I'll work on putting texture paste on some of the many things that need texture paste. I'd also like to repot our new plants tomorrow, since they are in some pretty small pots.
Lastly, I think I'm going to give up on the board gaming group. It isn't bad or unpleasant, but I think that I don't really need more gaming. Also, the group just doesn't spark joy. That's fine. I think for the moment I'm going to use the additional time in my schedule to visit Joel's jam session occasionally. I got out of the habit and would like to start up again.
