PHP8, bench, sheets, and yoga mat
Aug. 2nd, 2022 11:06 pmYesterday, I upgraded many of my websites to PHP 8, because my hosting provider recommended it. Sometimes, this goes smoothly. Sometimes, it doesn't. A few of my websites were just fine, but some of the ones I use constantly had trouble, so much time was spent today fixing those. (Note: my lazy coding was to blame for much of this.)
Joel assembled one of the benches that was delivered yesterday. Yay!!!! It will need some padding (either we'll use foam or my grandmother's old mink coats), but for now it is just nice to have some furniture. Also, I have some other potentially good news that I'll post about more when I know what more details.
I ended up making my breakfast pea soup with mostly pigeon peas. I have to say that I don't love them. They have a kind of unpleasant yet flowery taste, like eating flowery soap. I'll use the rest, but unless I feel significantly better eating them, I'll probably just go back to split peas.
The second duvet cover turned out mostly better than the first, due to the thickening agent I used in the green dye. However, it needs a bit more peach dye on the middle section, so we aren't done yet.
Lastly, I got a yoga mat that has a layer of cork on it. So far, I really like it. Between the natural rubber and the cork, it is heavy, but I am pleased with it. I look forward to doing yoga again.
